MB World rolls out new uniforms made from recycled plastic bottles
31 December 2023 – MB World Group Berhad had rolled out staff uniforms produced from recycled plastic bottles, a noteworthy collaboration with Kloth Wear, a brand under the social enterprise Kloth Circularity.
The innovative process involves shredding recycled plastic bottles into flakes, further processing them into pellets, and ultimately producing fibres, which are then spun into yarn for the creation of each polo T-shirt. An estimated 17 recycled plastic bottles contributed to the crafting of each T-shirt, resulting in the diversion of 3,400 bottles away from landfills and oceans.
Additionally, MB World Group ran a fabric recycling campaign in collaboration with Kloth Cares and several other companies located at Plaza DNP, Johor Bahru. The collective effort had resulted in the successful collection of 3,145kg of fabric during the campaign, underscoring the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
